Monday Morning

Monday Morning

"And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus,” Philippians 4:7, NIV.

It’s raining, Grandma Em (my mom) was admitted back to Kaiser with pneumonia. Sad day. It can go either way.

Upon hearing this news, while seated at my kitchen table, my heart sprung up and ran to the door. It didn’t matter that I hadn’t packed or that I had less than a half a tank of gas to drive the 350 miles to see her, I was gone.

Then God.

He has a great way of sitting with us through our tears and reassuring us of the full measure of His love.

I reached out to my team of prayer warriors, and they responded.

How do I know they responded, and weren’t just sending me a praying hands emoji? Because my heart was drawn towards God, the author and protector of my faith. That is a supernatural direction. And since I sat crying, and hadn’t prayed for it, I know someone on my team had.

My Father gave me a peace that surpasses all my understanding. Because that’s what He does.

Are you in need of intercessory prayer? For someone to walk alongside of you when your knees can’t bend themselves.

You can always reach out to us here.

I would also encourage you to join a prayer team where you can pray for others, as well.

Father,

Thank You for Your faithful prayer warriors who reach out to You when others are unable. That was me this morning and You showed up.

Be with my mother who once again finds herself in the hospital, this time with pneumonia.

Be with all of our dear loved ones who are suffering at home or in care facilities, too. We cover them and their families asking for Your peace and comfort.

Our next steps, whether on this planet or in heaven are only Yours to know. We just walk hand in hand with You, trusting You daily. Thank You for Your provision.

We love You,

Amen.

“Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.” Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭26‬-‭28‬ ‭

You are loved. Thankful for the Spirit who shows up when we can't in us and in others! Thank you for being an intercessor for all of us first.
